Normcore 57.5mm to 49mm Step-Down Portafilter Basket Kit

Set your Lelit Fits Lelit Anita, Diana, Anna 57mm machine free. Swap your standard 57mm basket for this Normcore 57.5mm to 49mm Step-Down Basket and unlock a different extraction style without rebuilding your setup.

The stepped-down, tapered interior helps guide water through a taller, higher-aspect-ratio puck, promoting a gentler, more forgiving flow—especially friendly to lighter roasts and less-than-perfect puck prep. Precision laser-perforated holes support repeatable distribution for cleaner, more even shots.

Because this basket is deeper than typical 57mm baskets, it is bottomless/naked portafilter only. To speed up your first dial-in, we include the accessories you’ll actually need for a complete 49mm workflow.

Reduced Flow = Low-Flow = 0.18 mm Hole Diameter, 2475 holes
Allows a coarser grind, easier to dial in, produces a thicker texture; better for medium/dark roasts, alternative extraction, experimentation.

Standard Flow = High-Flow = 0.28 mm Hole Diameter, 786 holes
Requires a finer grind, flows faster, yields higher clarity; better for general use, light roasts, standard techniques
Tips: When switching 0.18 → 0.28, adjust the grind finer (usually 1–2 clicks). From 0.28 → 0.18, adjust coarser and monitor pressure/flow while fine-tuning the dose.

Compatibility Reminder：
- Fits: Lelit 57mm portafilters (e.g., Anita, Diana, Anna)
- Bottomless-only fit: Deeper basket design is not compatible with spouted/pressurized portafilters
- Headspace check: If using a puck screen + spring, reduce dose if it feels tight.
- Care: Rinse the puck screen & spring after use; dry the basket to prevent residue buildup.
- Tamper Note: Please use a 49mm tamper with this basket. (A 49.7mm or 58mm tamper will not fit.) If you are using the Normcore 57.5mm spring-loaded tamper, you may purchase a 49mm base and baffle separately for replacement. 

Note: The CNC basket is machined from a solid block of 304 stainless steel, so the dosing funnel may not stick magnetically. However, it can still be placed on top to guide coffee grounds into the chamber.
