Normcore portafilter baskets and accessories are made in a few standard diameters. Use this guide to find the right size for your machine before ordering — if you're not sure, check your machine's manual for the basket/group head diameter, or contact us and we'll help you match it.

How to check your machine

  1. Remove your portafilter basket and measure the diameter across the top rim.
  2. Match that measurement to the closest size in the table above.

Description

Optional accessories for Normcore Step-Down Portafilter Baskets, available for both the 58mm to 49mm and 54mm to 45.5mm kits.

Available Accessories (Sold Separately):

Dosing Funnel:
Enables clean transfer of coffee grounds into the smaller basket with minimal mess.

Puck Screen (0.8mm):
Promotes even water flow and reduces channeling for more balanced extraction.

Basket Spring:
Adds gentle downward pressure between the shower screen and puck screen for drier pucks.

Filter Paper x 200:
Improves cleanliness and consistency of extractions.

V4 / V4.1 Tamper Plate + Base:
If you already own a Normcore V4 or V4.1 Tamper, you only need to purchase the Plate and Base to fit your step-down size.

Step-Down Basket (Stamped or CNC, 0.18mm or 0.28mm):
Replacement or spare step-down basket, sold on its own in your choice of manufacturing method and hole diameter.

Select your size (58mm to 49mm or 54mm to 45.5mm) and the accessory you need.
